"C" is for Cookie

My Girl Scout Cookies just arrived. I have already put the thin mints in the freezer. Here's what I really want to know. Why on earth don't they sell them at the holidays when I am already expecting to gain 500 pounds? Why do they wait until February when I really want to start working on losing the holiday weight? They only come around once a year, so it's not like I can say no.

We have four boxes in the house. I'm going to just tape one to each thigh and the back of each arm to see what I'll look like after I've consumed them all.

I am really trying hard to lose weight again. I didn't gain any over the holidays but during my recoup time I have put on 40 pounds. Goes to show you what staying in your home for a little over a year will do to you. If anyone has to do this, I reccommend the removal of all snack foods and anything remotely unhealthy for you, or putting a padlock on the cabinets and fridge. It is tough, anyway, this year the girls came to both houses and I could'nt decided which to buy from so we told them both no! Imagine that, NO GIRLS SCOUT COOKIES this year!! Yikes thats hard!

I only bought one box this year. I got the peanut butter cookies. I think I ate most of them. My husband has WAY more restraint than I do. It probably would have been more attractive as a box strapped to my thighs, instead of a couple extra dimples!

:P

I ordered 7 boxes! Should I even admit that??? I see it as contributing to a little girls trip to Build A Bear. At least that is what the troop I bought from was going to do. And you are right.. why must they sell the stinkin cookies around the time you want to get "serious" about eating better and working out? Hello, swimsuit season is approaching way to fast! Anyway... Thin Mints win my vote too!

I just came across your blog looking for other blogging moms. I totally agree with you on the cookies. I have 3 boxes left in my freezer of the thin mints. They would be wonderful at Christmas while we are already pigging out on everything else!
